Meet Bailey: Zen Mountain’s Massage Extraordinaire

Are you interested in a massage that you’ll never forget? One that will take you to the limits of relaxation leaving you wishing you could stay all day? That’s what you’ll experience with Bailey, one of our newest team members. Joining us from Alberta, we couldn’t be any happier to have her here. Bailey makes you feel right at home while offering the most luxurious spa experience you can imagine.

She has worked at destination resorts, lodges, and spas throughout Alberta offering everything from sports and therapeutic to relaxation massages. And along with being a certified massage therapist, she also has training in areas like myofascial cupping, sports massage, hatha yoga instruction, and reiki. So she fits right into the wellness experience at our spa.

The massage services that Bailey is providing at Zen Mountain include:

  • 60- or 90-Minute Massage—Bailey uses our green tea leaf and Indian spice body massage serum to relax you and address issues like inflammation, poor circulation, mind and body fatigue, and dry skin conditions.
  • Ocean Elements Targeted Massage—Bailey uses our raw ocean element-based products to treat your back, neck, and shoulders. It helps reduce muscle tension, inflammation, and pain while improving the overall tone and texture of your skin.
  • Body Wraps—Choose from the green tea and seaweed body wrap or rehydration and repair body gel wrap. And while you’re wrapped, you get to enjoy an express mineral boost restorative facial.
  • Relaxation Facials—You have a choice of several Signature Prana facials or a Mineral Boost Restorative facial from Beauty Through Balance.

Massage therapy is an ancient healing modality. In fact, it has been around for thousands of years, dating back further than 3000 BCE. It was prominent in areas like China, Egypt, and India, but didn’t become popular in the west until sometime between the 1600s and 1800s. What we know as the Swedish massage was developed in the 1800s, and WWI vets were treated with massage for nerve issues and shell shock. But it wasn’t until the later part of the 20th century that massage saw resurgence in the west as a growing number of people focused on holistic health and wellness.

The benefits of massage include healing injuries, relieving pain, reducing stress, promoting relaxation, boosting the immune system, and helping and preventing a variety of illnesses, conditions, and ailments. Massage today is used for both relaxation and therapeutic purposes.

So don’t you deserve some relaxation, healing, and pampering? We think you do. And we think that we’re very lucky to have Bailey on our Zen Mountain team and hope that you enjoy her services as much as we do. When you’re booking your appointment, consider adding in a float or salt room session after your treatment for the ultimate Zen experience!
